Job Role Description:
The prime role of the Lead of the academic cluster is to provide strong academic leadership. The lead is responsible for the academic cluster and should manage effectively by providing strategic direction and support to the highest standards of academic excellence.

The Job scope involves the designing and development of the Programme structure, Syllabus Curriculum, Pedagogy, Resource allocation, Academic planning & Budgeting, Research activities, Faculty development and ensuring student success.

The Lead will also be responsible to craft various academic initiatives such as Seminars / Conferences /Workshop/ Training programmes/Expert lectures etc; in topics of relevance and importance to the department. The Lead of the academic cluster should bring in active Industry academic collaboration for student Internship and Value-added courses with respect to their domain. Should serve as a liaison with departments, professional associations, and regulatory agencies on academic matters. To represent the BOS of the client Universities on academic matters and be responsible and accountable for setting up and advancing the academic strategy of the Department in line with the University strategic plans and direction. Promote the visibility of the University both internally and externally and ensure that all essential resource material is made available for use as required.

Functional/Technical skills:

  • Should have worked in a similar role leading, overseeing, governing, growing and managing the department’s academic affairs and prospects.
  • Should be competent to drive existing and new programmes of the academic cluster for planned outcomes and identified objectives.
  • Should be able to direct academic programmes, process, roles, and successful deliveries for new and existing clients.
  • Good organizational skills with sound execution competencies, client centricity with compliances on the SLA and process outline.
  • Monitor Academic standards on regular intervals, view the feedback from stakeholders, assess the impact and suggest measures for improvement.
  • Provide support and suggestions to the specific projects on a collaborative
    approach for effective completion and success.

Eligibility:

  • Master’s degree and above in the domain specialization of Academic Cluster, with 10 years of work experience, of which, a minimum of 5-7 years of experience to be as the Head of the Department having led and been instrumental to nurture and grow the department from strength to strength.
  • Should be familiar to the Higher Education segment and have Edtech work experience.
