Transforming Workforce Operations for a Global Beverage Leader

Background

The client is a leading global beverage conglomerate with operations in over 80 countries, employs more than 19,000 people worldwide, with a strong presence in India and other emerging markets. The client operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, including a large-scale plant in Nasik that serves as a critical hub for production and distribution. Managing a diverse portfolio of premium brands across multiple product categories, it is a key player in the global FMCG sector. However, the client was working with multiple local vendors for its workforce operations requirements, and this decentralised approach created operational challenges and inefficiencies, particularly at the Nasik factory.

Challenges

The client was grappling with hiring challenges that had remained unresolved for over three years, directly impacting productivity and output. Vendor management was highly fragmented, leading to accountability gaps, while compliance risks at the factory level posed a serious threat to operations. Additionally, mobilising associates was difficult as adequate accommodation facilities were unavailable, making workforce stability a constant challenge.

Solutions

To address these issues, we conducted a comprehensive on-ground audit of the Nasik facility to identify barriers and create a clear action plan. We deployed a dedicated hiring task force that exclusively focused on closing long-pending roles and building a strong pipeline of talent. By transitioning the client to a single, nationalised partner model, we eliminated the dependency on multiple local vendors, standardised processes across the board, and strengthened compliance mechanisms to fully close governance gaps.

Outcome

As a result, we successfully closed all critical vacancies and reduced early attrition by 25% through improved candidate screening and mobilisation strategies. Compliance risks were fully mitigated, ensuring adherence to corporate standards and reducing the likelihood of penalties. The client now benefits from a centralised hiring pipeline, enhanced workforce visibility, and simplified vendor management. Our strong delivery performance has further paved the way for over 500+ workforce transitions, establishing a foundation for long-term strategic partnerships and sustained operational efficiency.
