Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Assistant with a background in
Economics or Social Sciences to join our team. The successful candidate will support our
research projects by conducting literature reviews, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
Proficiency in analytical tools such as SPSS and Excel is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct Thorough Reviews of Relevant Literature and Evidence:
○ Perform comprehensive literature reviews to gather and synthesize current knowledge and
developments in relevant fields.
○ Identify and acquire relevant academic papers, industry reports, and other sources of
evidence to support research projects.
○ Critically assess the quality and relevance of literature and evidence, ensuring that only the
most pertinent and high-quality information is utilized.
● Analyze and Evaluate Research Data:
○ Collect, manage, and clean research data, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
○ Apply appropriate statistical methods and analytical techniques to evaluate data.
○ Interpret data findings accurately, identifying significant trends, patterns, and insights.
● Prepare, Present, and Disseminate Research Results:
○ Draft detailed research reports that summarize methodology, analysis, and conclusions in a
clear and structured manner.
○ Create engaging presentations to communicate research findings effectively to diverse
audiences.
○ Author research papers for publication in academic journals or industry publications, adhering
to relevant guidelines and standards.
● Offer Research-Based Briefings to Stakeholders:
○ Develop and deliver research-based briefings tailored to the needs of various stakeholders,
including senior management, policymakers, and clients.
○ Present complex research findings in an accessible and actionable format.
○ Provide expert insights and recommendations based on research findings to inform
decision-making processes.
● Utilize Analytical Tools for Data Analysis:
○ Proficiently use analytical tools such as SPSS and Excel to perform statistical analysis and
manage datasets.
○ Develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets to organize and analyze research data.
○ Employ advanced functions and features of SPSS and Excel to generate robust analytical
outputs and visualizations.
Education & Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
● Strong analytical skills with experience in using SPSS and Excel.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to conduct comprehensive literature reviews.
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
