Role:
The role is responsible for implementing and maintaining management information systems,
providing technical support for desktop, server, and network hardware and software, upgrading
existing systems, addressing user tickets, conducting remote troubleshooting, customizing
applications, recording technical issues and solutions, and following up with clients to ensure their
systems are functional. They must also resolve day-to-day IT issues, update the IT asset register,
provide support to the team and reporting manager, coordinate with vendors, and keep systems
updated regularly.
Responsibilities:
Responsible and complex computer systems administration duties in the implementation and
maintenance of management information systems
To provide technical support for a combination of desktop, server and network hardware,
software and peripheral equipment
To upgrade existing hardware and software, to correct reported hardware and/or software
problems and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to the assigned area of
responsibility.
Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking
Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals
Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems
Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions
Conduct remote troubleshooting
Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
Record technical issues and solutions in logs
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional
Report customer feedback and potential product requests
He/she should be able to resolve day to day IT issues.
He/she has the responsibility to provide necessary support to the respective team/ reporting
manager.
It is his/her responsibility to update the IT asset register regularly.
He/she provides support to the nearby business locations.
It is his/her responsibility to coordinate with the vendors.
It is his/her responsibility to keep the systems updated regularly (like updating batches, etc.)
Education & Experience:
A bachelor’s degree
1-2 years
Basic Communication
Assembling Systems
Installation of OS / Application
Troubleshooting of network issues
Configuration of servers
Ability to identify Information security vulnerabilities in Operating Systems, network design,
network devices
Solution to the vulnerabilities in terms of type of product, manufacturer, brand, product
configuration, monitoring and corrective actions
Awareness on source of updates on new vulnerabilities, evaluate, corrective actions when
needed
Hardening of Operating Systems, wireless devices, network devices
