Role:

The Payroll Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll functions of client organizations that have outsourced their payroll operations. They ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, and excellent client service. This role requires strong attention to detail, a comprehensive understanding of payroll processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Lead and mentor a team of payroll executives, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
    • Oversee the daily operations of the payroll team, ensuring that all payroll processes are completed accurately and on time.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss challenges, updates, and process improvements.
  • Payroll Management:
    • Supervise the collection and review of payroll data from clients, ensuring accuracy in timesheets, salaries, bonuses, deductions, and other relevant information.
    • Oversee the input and processing of payroll data using advanced payroll software or systems, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
    • Manage complex payroll calculations, including wages, overtime, commissions, and deductions, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations.
    • Ensure that all payroll calculations comply with local labor laws, tax regulations, and any other applicable legislation.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for high-priority clients, addressing complex inquiries and providing expert guidance on payroll-related matters.
    • Collaborate with clients to resolve discrepancies and provide payroll-related guidance, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure they understand payroll processes, deadlines, and deliverables, fostering a positive client experience.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure the accurate and timely filing of payroll taxes, social security contributions, and other statutory deductions, adhering to compliance standards.
    • Monitor changes in tax rates and update payroll systems accordingly, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
    • Generate, review, and approve payroll reports before distribution to clients or employees, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure data integrity and compliance within the payroll team.
    • Stay updated with emerging trends, best practices in payroll management, and outsourcing to recommend and implement process improvements.
    • Identify training needs within the team and facilitate skill development to enhance team performance and client satisfaction.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Contribute to the development of payroll policies and procedures, aligning them with company goals and industry standards.
    • Assist in the planning and implementation of payroll projects, including system upgrades and process automation initiatives.
    • Provide insights and analytics to senior management, highlighting key payroll metrics, trends, and potential areas of risk.

Education & Experience

  • Any Graduate
  • Experience: Min. 2-3 years of exp.as a Teamlead
  • High on learnability
