Delivery deficit Hits Quick Commerce Ahead of Festive Season

Average per-order payouts in quick commerce have dropped by as much as 40 percent over the last year, falling from Rs 34–Rs 42 in 2024 to Rs 22–Rs 30 in 2025, according to recruitment platforms, with some even earning as low as Rs 15-Rs 25 per order.

India’s quick commerce firms are struggling with a delivery worker crunch due to rapid dark store expansion, high attrition, and falling payouts. Average per-order earnings have dropped 40% in a year, hitting as low as ₹15–₹25, pushing workers to seek more stable platforms. The shift to variable, incentive-linked pay has worsened retention, especially in Tier-2 cities.
